The Ashgold and GHALCA boss described as inaccurate media reports that the ‘Soccer Miners’ had finalised a deal with Mayniak to provide sports wear for club next season.
“Because the artwork involving the colours was yet to be determined we have not agreed on any figure yet to enable us brief the board for them to approve the deal with Mayniak,” he the Graphic Sports yesterday.
“You know it is not for free, because we have to pay them, so let us finalise everything before we can go public.”
He said after the artwork and the right figures had been approved, his management would be in the position to brief the board before they could outdoor their colours for the next football season.
He revealed that Ashgold were compelled to use all-yellow outfits last season much against their wish. But he gave an assurance that this time round, the club’s management had impressed on Mayniak to use the right colours that befit the tradition of the team.
