It was an absolute ecstatic scene ornamented with strings of fabulously designed groundnut to mark the crowning of a new Bissa chief and elders for the Gomoa Buduburam community on Saturday.

Poetic chants hallowed in his name while men and women appeared beaded with the rattling strings of groundnut to announce the dawn of a new era led by a son of the Dabres.


Kir Abdul Fatawu Adam Dabre’s investiture as the new Bissa Chief Gomoa Buduburam came in a grand style, repleted with a colourful display of the rich Bissa culture.

The atmosphere was charged, thousands joined from far a near to witness and partake in an event that marks the expansion of Bissa influence across the country.

They came, they saw and they encountered the thrilling ambience of Zekula that engulfed the entire Durbar Grounds of suburb popular know as Liberia Camp.
