United Nations Special Representative of the Secretary-General for West Africa, Dr. Mohammed Ibn Chambas, has visited Vice President of the Republic of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia visited in London.

The Former Deputy Minister of Education under the Rawlings administration was in the United Kingdom to pay a visit to Dr. Bawumia who is in the country for medical leave.

Dr. Bawumia who took ill early this month left to the United Kingdom for further medical examinations on the advice of his doctors.

The two were pictured together in an apartment in London with the Vice President looking healthy and ready to return to work.

Dr. Ibn Chambas who is currently the Head of the United Nations Office for West Africa and the Sahel (UNOWAS) served as a Member of Parliament on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) for Bimbilla.
