After encountering multiple setbacks, the reconstruction of the Tarkwa and Abosso (T&A) Park, the home grounds for the reigning Ghana Premier League champions Medeama in Tarkwa, Western Region, has finally reached its conclusion.

Financed by the Gold Fields Ghana Foundation (GFGF) at a total cost of $16.2 million, the project stands as a significant investment in the region's sporting infrastructure.

Undertaken by Micheletti & Company Limited, the construction included a wide array of essential features such as a VVIP stand, general spectator stands, parking facilities, an ambulance bay, offices for the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), dressing rooms, coach and referee offices, a media center, and a commentary box.

Furthermore, the stadium boasts additional amenities including floodlights, a dedicated physiotherapy section and first aid office, accommodation for match commissioners and referees, as well as a kit store.

With a seating capacity of 10,400, the stadium stands as a testament to modern sporting infrastructure, as every part of the edifice has been meticulously roofed, ensuring comfort and shelter for spectators.

This attention to detail sets it apart from many government-constructed stadiums, showcasing a commitment to excellence in sports facility development.
