German-born Ghanaian forward Ransford -Yeboah Königsdörffer made his Black Stars debut on Tuesday evening in a 1-0 friendly win over Nicaragua in Lorca - Spain.

The Hamburg SV forward who was born in Germany to a Ghanaian parent decided to switch nationality to Ghana in July this year.

He was named in Ghana's squad to face Brazil and Nicaragua but had to wait for his debut as he was not given playing time against Brazil.

On Tuesday night, he came on for goalscorer Abdul Fatawu Issahaku in the 82nd minute for his Ghana debut.

The forward has been very impressive for Hamburg SV in his first season after scoring four goals in 8 appearances this campaign so far.

He joined Hamburg SV on four-year deal worth €1.2 million from Dresden Dynamo during the summer transfer window.

A solitary goal from youngster Abdul Fatawu Issahaku gave Ghana a slender 1-0 victory over Central American minnows Nicaragua in Lorca - Spain on Tuesday evening.

The goal finally came in the 35th minute after Kudus Mohammed exchanged passes with Daniel Kofi Kyereh but he fumbled his shot before Abdul Fatawu Issahuku gathered and curled home beyond two defenders for the opener and only goal.

Ghana will play their last friendly match against Switzerland in November 17 at the Baniyas Club Stadium in Abu Dhabi in the United  Arab Emirates  before heading to Qatar  to participate in the World Cup tournament.
