New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman in the Awutu Senya East District in the Central Region has described as empty threat curses invoked on him by some aggrieved party members.

According to Alhaji Abu Sadat, the approach used by the members is in contravention with the NPP’s constitution.

The aggrieved members in a video, invoked dreaded river deities on the party executives claiming they have been shortchanged.

The group led by one William claim they have been working for the party since 2008 but have been sidelined by some National and Constituency executives in the recent polling station executive and electoral area elections held by the party.

The group, therefore say the only way of redress was to summon those executives to a river god to deal with them.

But on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday, the Awutu Senya East constituency chairman called the bluff of the aggrieved members.

He noted that, since they did not follow due process to have their grievances addressed, they are automatically out of the party.

Chairman Sadat wondered why they could go to such extend after losing just a constituency election.

“I have lost an election before but did not act like this so what they have done is shameful. They have sacked themselves from the party” he stressed.

On the way forward, Chairman Abu Sadat said he is reported to matter to the National executives for an amicable solution to the problem.
