Ghana’s Second Lady Samira Bawumia on Tuesday participated in the  2017 service of nine lessons and carols of the Ghana Navy.

The Muslim woman attended the Christians service as the special guest of honour as a mark of religious tolerance in the country.

Speaking at the event, Samira congratulated all personnel of the Ghana Navy for their hard work and diligence over the last 12 months.

She also took time to commend them for a successful organization of the carol service, while further commending their efforts in the composition of a new naval anthem.

She ended her statement with a word of advice to the general public, encouraging all Ghanaians to be generous as we approach the festive season.

According to her, the public must have the less privileged in mind, while also urging Ghanaians to be inspired to love in whatever they do.
