Former Black Stars and Ghana under 20 star Samuel Inkoom is set to sign for Sudanese giants Al Merrikh today (Monday).

The 28 year old full back arrived in Sudan earlier in the month and talks are far advanced as far as penning his signature for the ‘Red Castle’.

Earlier this year, Inkoom was handed a one-year ban by FIFA because of a debt owed to football agent Andy Evans.

It is reported that the former Black Stars man has resolved this issue and will be able to play for Al Merrikh from 2018.

Inkoom was a member of Ghana’s U-20 World Cup-winning team in 2009 and was also part of the Black Stars squads at the last two World Cups in 2010 and 2014.

At club level, he has represented the likes of Asante Kotoko, Basel, Ndipro, Bastia, Platanias, DC United, Boavista, Antalyaspor and Vereya.
