Asante Kotoko coach Samuel Paa Kwesi Fabin has bemoaned his side’s lack of cutting edge in the final third in their 1-1 stalemate against WAFA in the opening fixture of the 2017/18 Ghana Premier League.

Highly rated youngster Aminu Mohammed scored a beautiful free kick to put the Academy lads in front after just three minutes at the Sogakofe Red bulls Arena.

Kotoko pegged them in the 18th minute through striker Yakubu Mohammed to restore parity.

Speaking to reporters in his post match reflection, Coach Fabin admitted the result was the true reflection of the game but reckons his team could have snatched maximum points had they been fluent in attack.

"It was a very good game. WAFA still have a very good team, they played well but we came up with a strategy to leave here with the three points.

"Even though we drew we are happy with the result, we’ll go back to the drawing board and work harder to win our subsequent games."

"Fortunately for me I’ve not lost a game here before. I led inter Allies to draw here and also Berekum Arsenal, so when I was coming here I was very confident we're going to take the three points. Our attack was a little bit slow and that cost us the win."
