A leading member of the ruling NPP party Sammy Crabbe has launched a shocking insider attack on the Akufo-Addo government, describing some of the appointees as 'sycophants'.

The suspended National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party says most of the people appointed by Ghana President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to serve as ministers have failed.

He said nearly 80% of the 110 ministers appointed by the President have not delivered to expectation and for that matter insisting their influence will diminish.

“There are lots of sycophants around the president and the danger about it is that, it moves resources in the wrong direction," Crabbe told Starr FM.

"There are about 80% of sycophants around the President and with time, they will burnout like charcoal… Because it will come to a time when they will need people who can deliver”.

"I have been observing government and what I see is that things are being put in place and hopefully if we are patient, they will bear fruit [but] no minister stands out for me because I do not monitor them.

"I monitor how things are done collectively."

Mr Crabbe was suspended in 2015 ahead of the 2016 general elections following his concerns on the statement by the suspended National Chairman Paul Afoko.

Paul Afoko was suspended in 2015 as well for making public comments about the party’s finances, a practice against laid down rules.

The comments were deemed to be disreputable for the party and was suspended on the basis.

However, Mr Crabbe is still of the opinion that his suspension is illegal although a court ruling has affirmed the suspension.Your stories and photos are always welcome.
