Crocked Bayer Leverkusen defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah has returned to training after months of being sidelined with muscle injuries.

The Dutch-born Ghanaian defender sat out training in early December but has now rejoined the squad for full-time training.

Fosu-Mensah, brought his seven-year career at Old Trafford to an end when he joined Bayer Leverkusen in Janaury 2021 transfer window but has been blighted by numerous injuries.

The 24-year-old  defender  in March 2021 suffered a debilitating Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury  while playing  for Leverkusen in a Bundesliga game against  Freiburg.

Fosu-Mensah moved from Manchester United to Bayer Leverkusen on January 13, 2021. He had another knee ligament damage on February 28, 2021, which halted his 2020-21 season.

He made his first appearance for his German in 321 days on 15th January, 2022 as a second half substitute in his side's 2-1 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach.

The Holland International has played just seven matches for Bayer Leverkusen all season in the German Bundesliga.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah lasted played in Bayer Leverkusen's 2-0 victory against Stuttgart on the 12th of November. He replaced Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong.

He has  been capped three times by Holland.
