Sports journalist Patrick Osei Agyeman, popularly known as Fire Man Songo has expressed how furious he is at the answer he received from the President on January 17 2018 when the Press all over the country met at the Flagstaff house.

According Fire Man Songo, President Akufo-Addo "goofed" while answering his question about the 2014 FIFA world cup white paper report on Ghana's participation in the competition.

According to the President, he has forgotten the white report and this answer did not go down well for the Sports journalist.

“On these matters, truth is usually the best answer. To be honest, I’ve forgotten about the 2014 White Paper but I have no doubt my Minister of Sports is fully up to it and will advise, in due course, what should be the reaction of me and the government to it, but it has not been something that is very much on my radar,” the President stated.

While speaking on his TV show Fire for Fire earlier today, Fire Man Songo said, “To be honest, Mr President you goofed big time on this matter".

He further said, “You were in this country when the taxpayer’s money was used to set up a commission and today you are saying to be honest you have forgotten about the report. Fire burn the president in a professional way."

The outspoken sport journalist further descended heavily on the Sport Minister, referring to him as "useless". He further indicated that if the President was interested in fighting corruption, the issue of the 2014 world cup competition enquiries was one of the serious issues he needed to address.

“If, indeed, the president is interested in corruption, then he must take the white paper seriously because we are talking about something that borders on corruption,” he said.

The out gone government had released a report requesting for an investigation into allegations that the government lost an amount of $1,002,000 during its games at the competition

The report also recommended a probe into claims that the GFA used a $350,000  Ghana received in friendly match to offset the monies spent during the World Cup.
