Muniru Sulley played 67 minutes in Steaua Bucuresti's 5-0 defeat to giants Manchester City on Tuesday night in the Champions League play-offs first leg.

The 23-year-old conceded a penalty on seven minutes when he whacked down Raheem Sterling in the box but Sergio Aguero missed the spot-kick.

But City took the lead on 21 minutes through David Silva and then Aguero doubled the lead four minutes from the half-time whistle.

Just after the interval, Manuel Nolito scored the third to put City in the driving seat.

Sulley had a chance to smash home a consolation but he mis-kicked a volley just close to the City boss

He was then replaced by Ovidiu Popescu.
Aguero scored two more goals to reduce the return leg to a mere academic exercise.
