After enjoying success with their singles New Girl and Link Up, Ghanaian Pop duo, Reggie and Bollie will be dropping their debut album titled Uncommon Favour on Friday, December 15.

It’s not for nothing that Reggie and Bollie have named their debut album, Uncommon Favour, looking at their quick rise to fame.

Reggie (Reginald Ainooson) and Bollie (Ishmael Hamid) pursued individual careers in Ghana and attained some level of popularity.

When they relocated to the UK, they both tried breaking into the industry but failed until they teamed up under the name Menn On Point to participate in the talent reality show, X Factor in 2015.

Loved by the judges, even harsh Simon Cowell, they went all the way to the finals where they placed second.

Soon after, they were signed on to Simon Cowell’s SyCo Music, under which they released their maiden single, New Girl. The song peaked at number 26 on the UK Singles Chart. They followed it up with Link Up in December 2016.

In February this year, the pair parted ways with SyCo, and created their independent F.R.O.D Music label and have gone on to release songs like All the Way Up and This is The Life.

Their inspiring story has been motivation to many young artistes who look up to them as role models, particularly when they have excelled in a foreign country.

Back home, they have been selected as tourism ambassadors to use their brand to promote and market Ghana’s tourism capacities outside its shores.
