Comedian attacked on stage for his jokes
American comedian Steve Brown was attacked by someone in the audience while he was on stage at a club.
Steve was at The Comedy House in Columbia, South Carolina over the weekend cracking jokes and trying to make his audience laugh when someone from the audience took offense at a joke and went on stage to attack him.
The attack turned violent as the assailant picked up the mic stand on stage and used it to hit Steve several times while the father-of-five tried to dodge the blows.
The man then picked a stool on stage and threw it at Steve before some men came on stage and stepped between them.
Steve was injured on the arm with the mic stand and had to visit the Lexington Medical Center for treatment. Steve later posted a video to Instagram and thanked well-wishers for their calls and messages. He revealed he is OK but the Comedy House for not having adequate security to respond to the attack in time.
