Gospel musician Diana Asamoah has called on the President of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo and the Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II to plead for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II to be held in Kumasi - Ghana.

In a viral video making rounds on the internet, the controversial Gospel singer says that the people of the UK destroyed the funeral of the late Prince Philip who died in April 2021.

According to Diana Asamoah, she is on her knees begging the President of Ghana, Chief of Staff and the Asantehene to convince the UK Royal family to hold the funeral of the Queen in Ghana.

She says that if even she has to contribute money in any form for that to happen she is ready to do so.

The controversial Gospel singer says that this is a royal funeral that must be conducted with the pump and pageantry that befits the status of a high-ranking monarch like Queen Elizabeth II.

She adds that Asante's are famed for their glamourous, high-end funerals and that Queen Elizabeth's funeral must be held in Ghana so that they do not denigrate the revered Queen like they destroyed her late husband Prince Philips's funeral.

In Kumasi and some parts of the country, funerals are held with dancing pallbearers carrying coffins and engaging in exuberant dance moves while the services of professional wailers are available.

Most funerals also end with glamourous, money-spinning after parties where revelers and sympathizers go to eat and make merry before departing the funeral.

Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday, 8th September 2022 after an illness.

The UK monarch was 96 years old and was UK's longest serving monarch as she ruled for 70 years.

The Queen came to the throne in 1952 and witnessed enormous social change.

With her death, her eldest son Charles, the former Prince of Wales, will lead the country in mourning as the new King and head of state for 14 Commonwealth realms. VIDEO BELOW:
