Ghanaian youngster Ernest Nuamah made a significant impact for Olympique Lyon as he scored his first goal for the club in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Lorient on Sunday.

Nuamah, just 19 years old, netted his maiden goal for Lyon in his fifth appearance for the team in the league.

His well-placed volley to the near post came in the first half and served as the equalizer after Lorient had taken an early lead.

Despite Lorient's early lead, Alexandre Lacazette scored two goals for Lyon in the first half, putting them ahead 3-1 at halftime.

It seemed like Lyon was on their way to their first win in a while.

However, Lorient mounted a comeback in the second half, scoring twice to level the game and deny Lyon the victory. The match ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw.

Ernest Nuamah joined Lyon during the summer and has had a promising start to his career in France.

He was substituted in the 71st minute of the game just before Lorient's third goal.
