Asante Kotoko midfielder, Eric Serge Zeze was disappointed with his team's failure to collect all three points in their crunch fixture against Hearts of Oak.

The reds took an early lead and were on the cusp of victory before a late goal from Hearts of Oak evened things up.

Asante Kotoko after their CAF Champions League elimination against RC Kadiogo needed to appease their supporters with a morale-boosting win but they were held by Hearts of Oak.

The reds were very dominant in the first half and should have been out of sight but Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala and Isaac Oppong wasted decent chances with the Ugandan the worst culprit.

Kotoko took the lead after Yussif Mubarik turned home a rebound from a free kick in the 57th minute before Hearts stole a draw at the death with a header from Caleb Amankwaah in the 87th minute.

“We wanted the 3 points as our energy showed today but you all know how it ended! In all thanks for the total support today, our great supporters. We leave on Wednesday! Fabulous Asante Kotoko!” He wrote on Twitter after the match.

The former ASEC Mimosas midfielder who joined Kotoko on a free transfer at the start of the season played 60 minutes before he was replaced by Nicholas Osei Bonsu.
