The National Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has indicated all attempts will be made to resist the ousting of the Electoral Commission (EC) chair, madam Charlotte Osei.

A petition was sent to the presidency to impeach the EC chair of which the petition was forwarded to the Chief Justice as expected of the laws of the country.

The process begun Monday with the EC chair appearing before the commission.

However speaking on peace FM's Kokrokoo Tuesday, Mr. Ampofo indicated the whole process was political.

He said he could sense a political maneuvering of the process and therefore indicated Ghanaians were not going to entertain the removal of madam Charlotte Osei no matter what.

"...Ghanaians will not watch on to the removal of Charlotte Osei. We shall resist it". He said

When the host of the show, Kwame Sefa Kayi quizzed why he thought the impeachment process was politically motivated, Mr. Ampofo indicated "At first we heard that 60 persons from the EC were for the impeachment. Now we are told it has dropped to two and information I have is that the two are drivers at the commission".
