3rd October 2024
Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama has expressed optimism about defeating the New Patriotic Party(NPP) candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the North East region on December 7.
Calling the North East Dr Bawumia’s backyard, the former President stated he has outperformed Dr Bawumia and the NPP when it comes to track record.
During a campaign tour, Mr Mahama said the NPP cannot match the NDC’s records of developing the North East region.
In this regard, he has called on constituents to let the performance of the two parties to be the deciding factor in the 2024 election.
The battle of the North intensifies as the NDC led by John Mahama expects to win the North East region.
This move, the opposition party says, should be achieved to send a signal or seal their expected electoral victory.
John Mahama has been touring the Walewale constituency with high hopes and reminding voters there to reflect on his party’s achievements in that area.
Mr Mahama further promised to channel more investments into the area if elected.
According to him, the ruling regime has neglected some projects the NDC started in the North East region.
