2024 Polls: Positions on presidential ballot will be maintained – EC
12th November 2024
The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced it will retain the original ballot order for the 2024 presidential election, despite the recent disqualification of Philip Appiah Kubi, candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP).
This was confirmed by EC Chairperson Jean Mensa during an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting on Tuesday, November 12.
Jean Mensa assured party representatives that the GFP candidate’s disqualification would not impact the ballot arrangement, emphasizing the EC’s commitment to a smooth and timely process.
She added that the printing of presidential ballots is already 90 percent complete, highlighting the Commission’s progress toward meeting all critical deadlines.
“We are here this morning to inform you that the presidential ballot order will remain unchanged. As your representatives in the printing houses are aware, we are nearly 90 percent done with the presidential ballots,” Ms. Mensa stated.
