President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Black Stars following their qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, reaffirming the GFA’s commitment to supporting the team’s journey to the global stage.

Ghana sealed their place with a 1–0 victory over Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium, finishing top of Group I with 25 points from ten matches. The achievement comes after the disappointment of missing out on the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, marking a powerful comeback for the national team.

In a statement shared via Facebook, Okraku praised the team’s resilience, unity, and professionalism:

“Gratitude!!! On behalf of the Ghana Football Association, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Black Stars for their outstanding achievement in qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup for the fifth time in our nation’s proud history.”

He commended Head Coach Otto Addo, the players, and the management staff, while acknowledging the strategic leadership of the Executive Council and the unwavering support of fans:

“Together, we have shown that with belief, perseverance and unity, Ghana can overcome any challenge.”

As Ghana prepares for its fifth World Cup appearance, Okraku emphasized that the GFA will provide every necessary support to ensure the team makes a strong statement in North America.

With renewed national confidence, institutional backing, and a united fanbase, Ghana’s road to the 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to be a celebration of resilience, ambition, and footballing pride.
