Three Ghanaian men have escaped jail after they were sentenced to 7 years in imprisonment for the gang rape of a 20-year-old-girl in Como, Italy, has learnt.

In March 2012, the unnamed woman was lured into a garage by the depraved attackers who raped her in turns all night.

Despite the trauma, the 20-year-old, immediately reported the incident to the authority a day after the act, giving the investigators of the Como mobile squad the names of the attackers, leading to the arrest of the three men with Ghanaian citizenship.

The first, Kofi Ampofo, 27, was taken last January 9 in Settimo, Milan, while the other two, Prince Osei, 26 and Samuel Boateng, 27 were identified on Thursday, May 9. Osei was still in Como and Boateng was in Sarego, Vicenza, where he had found work.

The three perpetrators of the rape have never served a day in jail in recent years, according to investigators.
