The Ashanti Regional Security Council (REGSEC) today has deployed military, police, Immigration, fire service personnel to support the KMA in the ongoing relocation exercise to move traders and drivers from unauthorized places in the Kumasi Metropolis.
The Public Relation Officer for KMA Godwin Okuma Nyame speaking in an interview with Abusua FM’s Osei Kwadwo said KMA will force traders and drivers resisting to move from unauthorized places to move to satellite markets in the metropolis.
According to him, KMA will not pamper traders and drivers in the metropolis again saying if traders refused to go because KMA used persuasion, now they are going to use force.
“This exercise is not going to end now. We will continue till we achieve our aim. We are going to seize and arrest them if they fail to go. We are not going to pamper them again because they are taking KMA for granted,” he said.
