A/R: Police arrest Afia Kobi principal over fake NVTI exams for final year students
11th December 2019
The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested the Principal of Afia Kobi Nursing Training College, Owusu King, for allegedly failing to register final year students of the school.
Reports indicate that the Principal after failing to register the students made them write fake National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) examination papers as their final exams.
Mr. Owusu was arrested on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, after the students reported him to the police.
The health students demonstrated against the principal of the school on Monday, December 10, 2019 after they found out that the examination papers they were writing were not from the NVTI which has been mandated to set their exams.
They subsequently reported the case to the police.
Ashanti Regional Police command granted the principal bail on Tuesday but the students upon hearing the news this morning they besieged the Central Police Station again to demand that the school principal be re-arrested.
