Astute broadcaster and Communications Specialist with Kumasi based Metro FM, Kwabena Nsiah Appiah, has been enstooled the new Okyeame of Apromase in the Ejisu-Juaben Municipality of the Ashanti region.

Traditionally, Apromase is within the Benkum Division (Fekuo) of which Tafo is the Divisional Head (Fekutire).

Installed under the Stool name Nana Kwabena Nsiah Appiah, he is now the Okyeame (linguist), to Nana Brobbey Ameyaw, Chief of Apromase who is Otumfuo Brempong.

The colourful event was well attended by family members, sympathisers and friends from the media.

In his remarks, Nana Brobbey Ameyaw, Chief of Apromase, explained that the mode of selection of the Okyeame was based on personal qualities such as humility, hardworking, and respect for all, but not based on the wealth or affluence of individuals.

Nana Brobbey called on the people to support the newly installed Kyeame to perform his duties well.

On his part, Nana Kwabena Nsiah Appiah urged all to rally behind him in other to dispense his duties successfully by offering constructive and potent linguist that would culminate into the needs of the Apromase chief.

He assured the people of his continuous commitment to bring more developmental projects to help improve Axim and its environs.

With at least 19 years in the radio broadcasting industry, Nana Kwabena Nsiah Appiah started his career from Nkosuo Radio and later went to Kings Radio in Konongo. He bounced back to Kumasi to join Fox FM before moving to Metro FM where he is now the Director of Programmes.

Nana is an experienced broadcaster with specialization in the local dialect (akan language). He is the lead anchor of Metro News and the host of a socio-political talkshow dubbed Kokromoti Power.
