Black Stars centre-back Abdul Mumin scored his second goal of the season for Rayo Vallecano in their thrilling 3-3 draw with Real Madrid in La Liga on Saturday evening.

Real Madrid, missing the injured Kylian Mbappé, were caught off guard early as Rayo Vallecano took the lead just five minutes into the match.

Unai Lopez found the net with a header from Jorge de Frutos' cross. Mumin then extended Vallecano's advantage in the 36th minute with a powerful header, marking his second goal of the campaign.

Real Madrid responded with a spectacular long-range strike from Federico Valverde, before Jude Bellingham, in scintillating form, equalized.

Bellingham, who has been in outstanding form, became the first Real Madrid player to score in six consecutive La Liga games since Karim Benzema in 2016.

In the second half, Rodrygo's fierce strike put Madrid ahead, but Rayo Vallecano earned a hard-fought point when Isi Palazon deflected a long-range shot from Florian Lejeune past goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

Late in the game, substitute Vinicius Junior nearly secured the win for Madrid, but his powerful shot was saved by Rayo’s keeper, Augusto Batalla.

Mumin's impressive performances this season have now seen him score two goals and provide an assist in 15 La Liga appearances for Rayo Vallecano.
