National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has donated plastic chairs to the party’s branches in his constituency.

The chairs which numbered about 1,500 is to put an end to the culture of hiring chairs for party meetings and other events, the Former Deputy Education Minister explained.

Mr Ablakwa also stressed that he expects the party executives at that level to use the chairs for modest revenue generation activities.

He also toured about 90 branches of the party and plans to visit the remaining 30 before the NDC goes to the polls to elect their parliamentary candidates for the 2020 election.

Mr Ablakwa is seeking re-election to lead the NDC in the constituency.
