A video being widely shared on social media appears to back survey results by CDD-Ghana indicating that some Ghanaians sell their votes.

A woman is seen in the video and heard appealing to some men sharing what looks like NDC-branded aprons and scarf to add money to the items.

In the video, a man in a white jilbab is seen handing over some National Democratic Congress paraphernalia to some two women.

He is heard saying in Twi, These are yours, a scarf and an apron when you go to the kitchen to cook, you can use them.

He handed some of the items to two women both of them clutching babies and said in Twi: Mama it is time to vote...on 7th December...

One of the women said in Twi: If only you would give us some money to work with...a woman taking care of two students in secondary school, it is not a joke... I am suffering. The man is there but I'm suffering

She quickly unwraps the apron and wears it and then tried to convince the man to bring her some money to work with so she can convince others to vote for his party.

Speaking her native Ewe language, she said: if you help us and you give us money and we use it to work, I have a lot of people...in this neighbourhood, there are a lot of Ewes.

My husband is Ewe and my siblings are also Ewes, I will tell them they will vote for you so that you win.
