Aduana Stars held to draw by ten-man Nsoatreman FC in final home game

Aduana Stars faced Nsoatreman FC in their last home game of the Ghana Premier League at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday afternoon.

Despite their hopes for a victory, Aduana Stars were held to a thrilling draw by a resilient Nsoatreman side.

The match saw Nsoatreman reduced to 10 men, yet Maxwell Konadu's team demonstrated remarkable determination to secure a point while playing away.

The game was filled with drama, with both teams having key players sent off in the second half. Midfielder Abdul Manaf Umar and Daniel Afadzwu were dismissed in the 52nd and 54th minutes, respectively.

Nsoatreman took an early lead, with Kwabena Meider scoring just 12 minutes into the game.

This was quickly followed by another goal from Mohammed Abdul Rahaman six minutes later, putting the visitors in a commanding position.

However, Aduana Stars responded five minutes before halftime, with Issaka Mohammed scoring to narrow the gap.

After the break, Yussif Alhassan Chibsah converted a penalty kick to level the score for Aduana Stars, ensuring a draw for the home team.

The result sees Aduana Stars drop to third place on the league table with 50 points, while Nsoatreman holds their position in eighth place with 47 points.

Nsoatreman will conclude their Ghana Premier League season this weekend against Nations FC, while Aduana Stars will face Dreams FC in an away game.
