The Egyptian Football Association has revealed that the domestic Super Cup between Ahly and Zamalek will again be played in the United Arab of Emirates 

Clashes between these two African Giant , have in often times been mired by hooliganism, and the decision to  play the match in the Gulf country is one of the measures been put in place by authorities curb violence.

EFA official Amer Hussein told reporters on Sunday that the Super Cup will take place in UAE for the second time in less than two years.

In the summer of 2015, Ahly defeated perennial rivals Zamalek 3-2 in an exciting game at Al Ain's Hazza bin Zayed Stadium.

Ahly are the record holders of the Super Cup with nine titles. Zamalek have won it only twice.

According to Hussein, the domestic league will resume on 12 February, a few days after the end of the Africa Cup of Nations that will start on 14 January.
