Leader of the Ghana Freedom Party, Akua Donkor, is dissatisfied with the Supreme Court’s decision to dismiss her writ against President Nana Akufo-Addo and his vice, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

She argued that the judges at the apex court, who sat on the case did the bidding of the president who appointed them.

A seven-member panel of Supreme Court justices, presided over by Justice Jones Dotse, on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 rejected Madam Donkor’s plea for the President and his Vice to step down following their alleged involvement in acts of corruption captured in Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ investigative piece on corruption in Ghana football.

They also slapped on Madam Donkor a cost of GH¢10, 000.00 after the State asked for GH¢50,000.00.

Reacting to the judgement on Adom FM, a livid Akua Donkor questioned why the judgement was given in absentia.

“I know this case would not go anywhere that is why they gave the judgement when I was not in court,” she said.

The failed presidential hopeful maintained her case was very valid but typical of President Nana Akufo-Addo, “he will use his people to escape.”

Madam Donkor said aside filing for a review; she will also challenge the decision at an international court.
