Pharmacist Kwame Sarpong Asiedu has expressed despondency over the jailing of Actress Rosemond Brown, known in Showbiz as Akuapem Poloo.

Mr Sarpong Asiedu who describes himself on Social Media as 'an advocate for a department of common sense in Ghana', expressed wonder at the sentence, describing it as an interesting outcome from an interesting republic.

The actress was today, April 16, 2021, sentenced to 90 days or three months imprisonment by an Accra Circuit Court after pleading guilty to publication of nude pictures with her seven-year-old son.

The Court presided over by Her Honour Mrs. Christiana Cann, said such cases are becoming prevalent in our society, and Institutions including the court must act.

The court said it took into consideration all the plea for mitigation before arriving at its decision. But it appears many are unhappy about the court's decision.

Mr Sarpong Asiedu who made his views known under the Facebook post of lawyer, Samson Lardy Anyenini questioned what purpose her sentence will serve her seven year old son.

Samson, 90-days in prison? Interesting republic with interesting outcomes. How this serves the purpose of the child, I don't know. Surely, the law has created a victim from the silliness of the convicted mother. Sad!!!!
