Mustapha Hamid, Spokesperson to President-elect Nana Akufo Addo has revealed that the latter will put out the list of his core officials a day after his swearing in on Saturday, January 7.

Nana Akufo has come under pressure from individuals and other intrest groups as he puts together his government to run the affairs of Ghana beginning January 7.

Soon after he was declared winner of the December 7 general elections, intense lobbying commenced for various positions in government with a large section of the public being expectant and impatiently waiting to know who makes it to Nana Akufo Addo’s government which will have the ardous task of ruling the country for the next four years.

The president- elect has already officially named Mr Alan Kyeremanten as his Minister of Trade and Industry, Prof. Frimpong Boateng as Minister of Science and Technology and Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto as Agric Minister, all subject to Parliamentary approval.

Others have had the president-elect confirming their inclusion in his administration but fell short of naming the specific positions they will occupy.

Speaking to Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa FM, Mustapha Hamid stated that since the Nana Akufo Addo will need certain critical appointees at the seat of govenment on his first day in office after his swearing in, the president will announce the list of his first critical staff over the weekend.

“For the key sectors of the economy, his mind is made and especially Monday morning when he officially goes to his office definately he’ll need a secretary to the President at that point, he’ll need his Chief of Staff, he’ll need somebody to be wither his media liaison officer or spokesperson so I’m sure that as for those key ones by Sunday morning he’ll announce them so that by Monday these officials will help him carry out his duties.”
