President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Sunday, March 5, commissioned the former seat of government, the Christianborg Castle , as a national museum for past presidents.

The completion of the project will see the entire Castle turned into an Exhibition facility designated for showcasing and projecting Ghana’s statesmen, especially Heads of State.

The Museum remains part of a host of “legacy projects” being spearheaded by government to mark the Ghana at 60 anniversary celebration.

Addressing the gathering at the ceremony, President Akufo-Addo urged Ghanaians to take advantage of the opportunity and tour the Museum to learn from the rich historical details of the past leaders.

For him, the museum will also offer job opportunities for the youth within the  Osu enclave.

Meanwhile, the remains of former president John Evans Atta Mills is buried at the frontal of the castle.
