Albert Adomah's move to QPR moved a step closer as he has now mutually parted ways with Nottingham Forest.

The player was seeking a financial settlement from his club before mutually terminating his contract that runs out next summer.

The Ghanaian winger,32, has played the majority of his career in the second tier of English football but has fallen out of favour at the Oakwell Stadium with coach Sabri Lamouche preferring other players to the veteran.

Adomah had a year left on his contract at Nottingham Forest but is looking to play active football and is very much interested in a move to QPR.

The winger born in Lambeth is a lifelong QPR fan and would want a last chance in the twilight of his career with his boyhood club.

Rangers are not the only side interested in signing the winger as Cardiff City where he spent time on loan last season are also interested.

The winger is yet to play a single minute in Sabri Lamouche's struggling side and wants out of Nottingham Forest.

Adomah signed for Forest in the summer of 2019 and has made 27 appearances for the Reds.

He made nine appearances in the last campaign for Cardiff scoring two goals but missed out on the Championship play-offs.

Adomah has had stints with Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Cardiff City, Middlesbrough in the English Championship.

The English born winger has been capped 19 times by Ghana scoring twice.
