Ghana and Strasbourg center back Alexander Djiku was rock solid on Friday night as he helped his side record an emphatic 3-0 victory over FC Metz in the French Ligue 1.

The home side Strasbourg hosted Metz at the Stade de la Meinau in their match-week six game and made light work of them.

Alexander Djiku lasted the entire duration and was impregnable at the back as his side breezed past Metz.

He had 66% pass accuracy while making 5 clearances and 5 interceptions, winning 5 aerial duels and making one key pass for a defender with a single tackle made.

French striker Ludovic Ajorque opened the floodgates as early as the sixth minute before Habib Diallo added the first of his brace in the 26th minute before scoring from the spot in the 40th minute to put the icing on the cake.

Djiku has been very consistent since last season featuring in almost every game but had to miss a couple of matches this season due to suspension after been red-carded against PSG weeks ago but has still made five appearances for his side so far.

RC Strasbourg will now play as guest to RC Lens in their next round of games at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis.
