Alfred Duncan joins Venezia FC after leaving Fiorentina

Ghanaian midfielder Alfred Duncan has officially signed with Italian club Venezia FC following his departure from Fiorentina.

The 31-year-old has committed to Venezia until the end of the 2025/2026 season, with an option for renewal.

Duncan, a product of Inter Milan's youth academy, brings extensive Serie A experience to Venezia.

Over his career, he has played for Livorno, Sampdoria, Sassuolo, Cagliari, and Fiorentina.

With 304 appearances in Italy’s top flight, he has scored 14 goals and provided 17 assists.

In European competitions, Duncan has participated in eight Conference League matches and five Europa League games, including qualifiers.

His wealth of experience will be invaluable to Venezia as they prepare for the upcoming seasons.

Duncan left Fiorentina this summer after his contract expired.

In his final season with Fiorentina, he made 41 appearances across all competitions, scoring twice and providing five assists.

On the international stage, Duncan has earned 10 caps for the Ghana national team.

His versatility and experience are expected to significantly enhance Venezia FC's midfield as they aim to strengthen their squad for future challenges.
