Highlife legend, Daniel Amakye Dede, has spoken against his colleague musicians endorsing various presidential candidates in the December elections.

He would rather advice them to be neutral as Ghana goes to the polls. According to Amakye Dede, musicians should sing for peace as well as advice people against things that will bring chaos into the country.

Abrantie Amakye Dede, ‘Serious’ as he is affectionately called, was speaking on Onua FM’s Kokromoti on Monday.

He said in Twi that “we musicians should advice the people through music. Ghana should be one at this moment because we have only one Ghana and not two”.

The ‘Serious’ man said musicians should be in the middle and “stand for peace”. “I sing to promote peaceful elections.

I have done a song for democracy and peace in Ghana. I did not do the song for political parties”, Abrantie told the host, Bright Asempa in Twi.
