Ghanaian midfielder Forson Amankwah made an immediate impact on his return to league action, scoring just three minutes after coming on to secure victory for Norwich City against Sheffield United in the English Championship.

‎The 23-year-old was introduced late in the match but needed only moments to find the decisive goal, handing Norwich maximum points in the contest.

‎It was Amankwah’s first league appearance of 2026 after a difficult spell with injuries that disrupted much of his season. The Ghanaian midfielder had been sidelined since August 2025 before returning briefly in November, only to suffer another setback that kept him out of action again.

‎His latest goal marks his second of the season, and could signal a positive turning point after months of frustration on the treatment table.

Amankwah, widely regarded as one of Ghana’s promising young midfielders, will now be hoping to stay fit and build momentum as Norwich continue their campaign.

‎For the former Red Bull Salzburg player, the dramatic return provides both relief and renewed confidence as he looks to play a bigger role for Norwich in the months ahead.
