Leicester City manager Claude Puel has confirmed the club is prepared to offload a number of players from King Power Stadium in January.

Andy King is set to lead the departures as Adrien Silva could be allowed to move back to Sporting Lisbon on loan, while Yohan Benalouane could also be moving on.

The Foxes are looking at finding left-back Callum Elder a possible loan move to gain more experience as they plan for life without Christian Fuchs as cover for Ben Chilwell.

However, Daniel Amartey’s ankle injury has scuppered any chance of Danny Simpson leaving before the end of his contract in the summer.

“I think we have a squad with a lot of players,” Puel has said.

“We need to reduce a little the squad because we need to give game-time for some players and keep all the time a good mentality and positive attitude.

“We won't make any decision at the moment for the future.

“We have our focus and concentration on this time with the team and all the games we have to play in December and January.

“After we will see if some players leave the club.”
