Multimedia journalist Patrick Osei Agyemang, popularly known as Countryman Songo, has finally spoken following the interrogation of Ghana Football Association president, Kwesi Nyantakyi.

The radio and television presenter has been off air in the last two months after a suspension was slapped on him by his employers.

Songo’s suspension has been linked with his ongoing legal tussle with Nyantakyi, with the latter suing both the journalist and his employers for defamation.

The ‘Fire for Fire’ host landed himself in trouble with the FA capo after launching consistent criticisms at GFA and their mode of operation in the last few years.

However, following the interrogation of Nyantakyi by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) over allegations of defrauding by false pretence, Songo has decided to speak out for the first time.

The sports presenter, though, refused to be drawn on the GFA president’s interrogation, rather preferring to focus on his own self.

Asked when again Ghanaians will see him of air, Songo replied: “I’ve been with my family. I have kids and a wife and they need me sometimes so it’s fun to be with them. To God be the Glory.”

Further probed on his thoughts about Nyantakyi’s current predicaments, Songo was reluctant to be drawn on the subject, and simply responded “to God be the Glory” before driving off.
