Carlo Ancelotti is confident Napoli have the strength in depth to deal with a busy run of of fixtures over the coming week. The Azzurri face SPAL, Inter and Bologna in a eight days as Serie A TIM prepares for  an unusually busy Christmas period.

“We must be fully focused on the task at hand tomorrow and concentrate on SPAL. It's going to be a new experience for us because we're not used to training at Christmas. We'll try to combine the professional side with the festive side as best we can. Having these fixtures over Christmas is something novel for Italy. We'll be playing Inter on Boxing Day, which is very  popular day for football in England.”

Koulibaly is one booking away from suspension: "No. Leaving out a player because he's close to suspension means having him miss not one but two games when he does pick up the ban.”

About the lineup: "Tomorrow I'll pick the players I feel are best suited to play the match at 100%. Allan is the only one who will definitely sit this one out as he's had a back problem. We won't be making any calculations. We'll be facing a SPAL side who play good football and can cause problems for anyone. We'll need to get off to a strong start.”

On how he will deal with these three matches in a week: "By trying to plan our work well. We've always done that. The players are in good shape and that means they can face this run of games without any problems. I have a young squad players who can play at a high tempo. That's a quality of ours that we can exploit. It's a weapon we must make the most of because not many opponents are able to play at the same level of intensity.”
