Ghanaian-born Belgium midfielder Francis Amuzu has been hit with  what appears to be a  serious injury and is now  on the treatment room.

The winger will not play any  part when his Belgium side Anderlecht face Royal Antwerp in the Championship round.

Francis Amuzu featrured for his side last Sunday as they drew 0-0 with Club Brugge but had to be taken off in the 66th minute after picking up an injury.

He was replaced by Anouar Ait  El Hadj with Amuzu's injury situation thought though to be very serious than initially feared.

Amuzu is expected to be sidelined for a while meanwhile his teammate Joshua Zirkzee also had to be taken off with a hamstring injury but he is expected back this weekend.

The Accra born winger has played 31 matches for Anderlecht this season in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League scoring five goals and providing four assists.
