Ghanaian talented midfielder has completed his transfer from Swansea City in a deal believed to be worth over £20million.

Ghanaguardian.com revealed on Friday that the Hammers had made a breakthrough in their pursuit of the Ghanaian international, who enjoyed an impressive debut Premier League campaign last season.

Hammers joint chairman David Gold announced the move on Twitter, confirming that Ayew had signed a four year deal at the London Stadium.
Ayew is Slaven Bilic’s fifth major signing of the summer, as the midfielder cum attacker arrivals at the new London Stadium.
Dede Ayew the new record signing of Westham united told the club website:

“I am very proud and happy to be at this magnificent club. I am happy to be playing for these fans and I hope to make the people very happy here.

“The club have a lot of ambition and have a great manager. They want to become a bigger club every year and with the new stadium and a new training ground, you can feel they are moving onto another level and I want to be part of this project.

“I want to train hard, do my job and show that I deserve to play for West Ham United. I want to give back to the manager and the fans the confidence they are showing me.”

The Hammers have spent much of the summer chasing a “marquee” forward addition but, speaking ahead of Sunday’s friendly clash with Juventus Bilic suggested that Ayew, who will wear the No.20 shirt, could be the player he had been looking for.

“Andre Ayew is a big time marquee player,” he said. “It doesn't have to be someone for 70 or 80million, we can't afford it.”

Dede Ayew's younger brother Jordan Ayew is also expected to join West Ham but Ayew may be deployed as a forward next season as well as being used in support of Andy Carroll.
