Some irate Ghanaians have set social media alight with the harsh tag #FixTheCountry as cost of living in the country soar with the only constant being the meagre salaries most Ghanaian workers are still on.

The irate tweeps are complaining about the lack of lights and portable drinking water to the soaring prices of cement which will translate into landlords increasing rent.

On Saturday May 1 which was workers day, a raft of new taxes where introduced by the government which includes 1% COVID-19 Health Recovery Levy, 0.20 pesewas increment per liter of petrol and diesel while 0.18 pesewas per kilogram LPG.

While MTN have effective 1st May increased the price of call and data charges among others.

Frustrated  Ghanaians have taken to Twitter to vent their frustration over the rising cost of living in the country coupled with the non increment in salaries.
