Greek football reached hew heights of chaos after PAOK President Ivan Savvidis stormed the pitch with a gun during a league match against AEK Athens on Sunday.

An angry Ivan Savvidis confronted the referee with a gun in a hip holster after his side 89th-minute goal from Fernando Varela was ruled out for offside.

The match was officially abandoned as AEK players left the pitch concerned for their safety.

The Greek Super League has since been suspended indefinitely as authorities begin a probe into the bizarre incident.
