Goalkeeper Benjamin Asare delivered a commanding performance to earn Man of the Match honours as Hearts of Oak SC defeated rivals Asante Kotoko SC 1-0 in a dramatic Ghana Premier League Super Clash.

Playing much of the game with 10 men, Hearts were forced into a resilient defensive display at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi and Asare proved central to their resistance.

Calm under pressure, the goalkeeper produced a series of crucial saves and confidently dealt with crosses as Kotoko pushed forward in search of an equaliser. His assured handling and vocal presence helped organise the defence during tense moments, particularly after Hearts were reduced to 10 men in the first half.

‎While the early goal secured the victory, it was Asare’s composure and reliability at the back that ensured the visitors left Kumasi with all three points.

In a fixture defined by intensity and fine margins, the dependable shot-stopper stood tall, delivering a performance that will be remembered as one of the decisive factors in another gripping chapter of Ghana’s fiercest football rivalry.
