A Former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Joseph Yamin has said the people of Ashanti Region are very much disappointed in President Akufo-Addo and his government for abandoning them after voting massively for the NPP to gain power in the 2016 election.

According to him President Akufo-Addo has halted all projects in the region commenced by the previous NDC government.

He said as a matter of fact, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has taken the initiative to visit the abandoned projects as a reminder to the President that those projects must be completed.

“I am happy Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is visiting all uncompleted projects started by the past government to serve as a reminder to the current government for completion. Ashanti’s do not deserve this punishment from the President because we voted massively for him to come into power,” he said.

Speaking on Adom TV’s ‘Mpensenpensenmu’ newspaper discussion programme, Joseph Yamin urged Ghanaians to open their doors to former President John Dramani Mahama who is at their doors knocking to bring them peace and good governance in their homes.

“Former President John Dramani Mahama is ready to take you out of the hardship and fear in which you live now only if you will open your doors to him,” he said.
