Retired referee Osei Nsiah has blamed his massive defeat in the Ashanti Regional Football Association chairmanship race on Waakye( a local one pot delicacy of rice and beans ).

The legal practitioner claims delegates were bought with a plate of Waakye by the victor Mr Osei Tutu Agyemang popularly called 'Kotoro'.

According to the vanquished Osei Nsiah his opponent ferried about 70% of the delegates to a popularly food joint in Kumasi where he fed them all with Waakye in the morning.

In an interview with Kumasi based Otec Fm, the legal practitioner blamed the massive defeat on  delegates who like the biblical Essau sold his birth right for a bowl of beans just this this time round that of the delegates included rice and probably some 'wele'.

"Delegates have really shown they are not reliable, this morning they were asked to come to a certain place, when they got there, they were fed with “waakye” The delegates assured me with 40 votes during the campaign but this morning I realized you cannot rely on them (delegates) because they were asked to go to a certain place and when they went, I’m told they were fed with ‘Waakye’ Osei Nsiah said in an interview.

“Delegates cannot be predicted, they have their different way of behaving” He added
